AN EXPLORATION OF JOY, NOSTALGIA AND TRADITION

EXHIBITION :: December 13 through 21, 2024

The artists in this group exhibition explore the complexities of our relationships with the holidays. Demonstrating the emotional, cultural, and personal significance of holiday rituals amplifies many of the ways these experiences can nurture & strengthen or harm & hinder human connections. The artists investigate themes such as family traditions and rituals; cultural heritage and identity; commercialism and consumerism; nostalgia and memory; spirituality and faith; social isolation and loneliness; and a host of other perspectives. 

OPENING Reception :: Friday, Dec 13 / 7:00 – 10:00 pm
PERFORMANCES :: Friday, Dec 20 / 8:00 pm
HOLIDAY MARKET :: Saturday, Dec 21 / 10:00 am – 3:00 pm

Agitator Gallery invites artists to present work to be critiqued by a group of your peers. These critique sessions meet on Wednesday evenings from 7-9pm. Up to 6 artists will display artworks to others who are invited to observe, analyze and discuss the artworks. Artists will have 15-20 minutes to introduce their work, answer questions and receive feedback. This is a great opportunity to workshop your ideas and get input as you develop existing or new pieces.
