AN IMMERSIVE COLLAGE ENVIRONMENT

EXHIBITION :: January 5 through 19, 2025

The artist MEG GUTTMAN installs a life-size physical manifestation & re-staging of the interior rooms of a doll house artwork she created years ago. Specifically, this “immersive installation” is three rooms (two bedrooms and a bathroom) that are modeled on collages and paper constructions that compose the interiors of the dollhouse piece. The original dollhouse will also be on display at the exhibition. Scaled furniture, costumed dolls and audio recordings for each room enrich the installation’s metaphorical, dreamlike experience.

CLOSING & ARTIST’S TALK :: Sunday, Jan 19 / 2:00 – 6:00 pm

Use the galleryas an OPEN WORKSPACE; bring your art (make new work or continue projects from previous weeks).  Every session begins with a DEMO provided by a lead artist (an Agitator Member or guest artist) that will focus on a specific art material or process. Then work on your art, ask questions, give & receive feedback. This is a great opportunity to workshop your ideas and get input as you develop existing or new pieces.
