Featuring the work of thirteen artists who utilize observation of the physical world and incorporate it with imaginative interventions of the mind to create images composed by handmarking (literally the act of drawing a stylus or material across a surface). Also comics artists recruited worldwide from Korea, Europe, and other international locales present their work with Chicago artists in our gallery and published in our Comics anthology: WORLDWIDE (journal #6) that spans audiences across all languages and cultures.

Its the return of Agitator’s ANNUAL ANIMATION FESTIVAL. A worldwide showcase of local & international animators. Organized by CHRIS WELLEMS guest curator.

These 24 animation artists showcase a wide variety of visual styles, subject matters, narrative perspectives and they employ diverse methods of storytelling. All were chosen because they demonstrate the excellence of local and international DIY animators.
